Fractions Help:

Hi,

In last writing I have given you some information on the concept of permutations, formula for permutation and example. Today lets learn about fractions, how to add fractions and how to divide fraction.

Let me first define what is fraction. Fraction is a number which represents the part of a whole.

Adding fraction with same denominator is easier than adding fraction with different denominator. For better understanding of fractions get help from free math help. For example: 5/9 + 3/9 = 8/9, 4/6 + 12/6 = 16/6 etc.

Example for adding fractions with different denominators: 8/4 + 6/8 In this case first we have to take least multiples of denominators : 16/8 + 6/8 =  24/8 .

Now lets move on to how to divide fractions: While dealing with fraction division first we have to take a whole number and a fraction. For example take fraction as 5/3 and a whole number 8. In this case the whole fraction part is divided by 8, then the faction part is called dividend and the whole number is called divisor.

This is all about Fractions, adding and dividing fractions. Next I will explore some other concepts of math.
